Ask And You Shall Receive

Remember Screech from "Saved by the Bell"? Dustin Diamond is trying to raise $250,000 on GetDShirts.com so his house doesn't become foreclosed upon. You can buy "bricks" (88 x 31 banner ads) for his house at $1000 each. Wish I would have thought of "bricks" instead "square footage", but it's too late. I'm not re-designing the site. Plus $1000 is kind of steep pocket change for a banner ad. Especially when you can get more traffic from buying a $5 frontpage pixel ad on this site.

I do believe his intentions are legit, as are mine. But I created this website as more of an entrepreneurial venture than a begging for charity. If it doesn't work out, I'll just have to get a mortgage loan like most Americans do. Or maybe one of my requirements for Mr. Right should be "lots of money". But my grandma always told me, "If you marry for riches, you get sons-of-a-bitches."

Which leads me to me next qualification that I'm looking for a man... He can't be married. Don't laugh. Do you know how many "Married But Looking" guys are out there? Unbelievable. Don't bother knocking on my door until the divorce decree is signed by the judge.

Waiting for Mr. Right (and new Ads)

I didn't realize there were so many pixel-ad-selling-sites out there! So much for my "bright idea". Although I do believe this site offers a new twist with the different rooms and prices. I have been happy with the traffic coming in, and I've had good reports from the few advertisers we have so far that the traffic they have received has exceeded their expectations. I keep telling myself good things come to those who wait.

And I'm still waiting for Mr. Right. I've had inquiries about what I'm looking for in a guy. So each time I blog, I'll try to include a "requirement" that I'm looking for. Number one being he must like kids! I don't want my kids to scare a guy away. Hell, my kids scare me sometimes.
